Hi I’m Carling.
Yoga teacher, movement educator, strength coach, mom, and slightly obsessive anatomy nerd.
For the last 15+ years I’ve taught everywhere from local studios to global platforms like Alo Moves and founded companies like Commune + methods like Awakening Yoga.
But these days, I’m focused on Moved. — a digital space for yoga, strength, recovery, nervous system care, and honest down-to-earth teaching education.
Whether it’s in the online studio, on-demand teacher training courses, or live learning events around the world - it’s all about finding ways to make the practice work for you.
No beige minimalism. No bypassing. Just grounded, gritty, intelligent movement and real conversations about why we do it (and keep doing it.)

Carling has been leading teacher trainings for more than a decade as the co-founder of Awakening Yoga Academy and the Awakening Yoga method.

Courses are offered in a modular format ranging from 15-100 hours so students may let their passions steer them between each learning session.

Honestly, yeah, you can. We’ve seen student outcomes improve dramatically since moving trainings online either in part or in full in 2020.
While there are some modules that can simply only be offered in-person (hands-on assists for example) all others have been created explicitly for online or hybrid learning so that you can learn on your terms.
That means with a fresh hot coffee always in hand, at midnight if you’re a night owl, sneaking in a practice while your little one naps, or as a companion in your headphones during a walk in the park.
The goal is to make sure you can be present, prepared, passionate, and that it all feels personal to you - because it is. Online learning means you get to do all the same deep dives (sometimes, way more in fact) - but on your own terms.
